More Than 50 City Pools to Open Starting June 22

The Los Angeles City Recreation and Parks Department open more than 50 swimming pools beginning June 22. The entry fee is 50 cents for children and $1 for adults.
Learn-to-Swim programs offer lessons to preschoolers, children, teen-agers, adults, seniors and people with physical and mental disabilities. Lessons are $10.25 for each 10-session class.
The pools also offer team sports, including swim teams, synchronized swimming, springboard diving and water polo. For more information, call the appropriate regional office: Pacific, (213) 485-2844; Metro, (213) 485-5559, and Valley (818) 989-8859.
