The state-of-the-art U.S. Olympic Training Center now under construction in Chula Vista announced of $1.5 million from the James S. Copley Foundation of La Jolla.
Funds received from the Copley Foundation will be applied toward construction of the training center’s visitors’ center, an open-air structure that is projected to welcome more than 500,000 people each year.
The visitors’ center will include a 150-seat auditorium, tour display area, 5,000-square-foot gift shop and administrative offices.
