OXNARD : Shooting Victim, 31, in Serious Condition

A 31-year-old Oxnard man was shot in the chest with a shotgun by two assailants who then fled, police said Tuesday.
Ruben Ledesma was listed in serious condition in the intensive care unit of St. John’s Regional Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Ledesma was shot at 5 p.m. Monday in the 1800 block of San Gorgonio Avenue.
The assailants fled in a white compact vehicle.
Police said the motive was unknown.
