El Camino Real 6, Carson 1--Erin McGuire hit a solo home run and Jennifer Gould limited Carson to four hits in a City 4-A quarterfinal at El Camino Real.
Gould (10-3) struck out five and did not walk a batter. Carrie Reulbach and Emily Gourlay each had two hits for El Camino Real (12-3).
Granada Hills 17, Birmingham 7--Kelly Gray hit a three-run home run and Karen Berkowitz, Melissa Hansen and Brandy Brennan each had three hits for Granada Hills (12-2) in a City 4-A quarterfinal game.
Saugus 3, Glendora 1--Christina Schlender homered and singled and Amanda Colvim homered for Saugus (14-9) in a Southern Section 3-A Division wild-card game.
