Altadena : Filing for Council Races
Would-be candidates have until April 15 to file for seven open seats on the Altadena Town Council.
The election will be held April 27, with the winner taking office in May.
The volunteer Town Council is composed of two elected delegates and one alternate from each of the community’s seven census tracts. With staggered terms, one seat in each tract becomes open each year. The candidate with the largest number of votes serves for a two-year term and the runner-up becomes the alternate.
Applications are available in the Altadena Public Library on East Mariposa Street and may be returned there, along with a $10 filing fee, marked to the attention of the Town Council Election Committee.
