RTD’s Patsaouras

In response to “The Man Who Loves the RTD,” Column One (March 11):
RTD President Nick Patsaouras has made recent visible improvements in RTD bus driver attitudes, clean bus interiors and improved schedules.
Patsaouras has not addressed overcrowded, standing-room-only, rush-hour evening buses on Wilshire, Western, Vermont and other lines. He should also insist RTD bus drivers allow front seats for seniors and disabled persons. Young riders today often refuse to give up these front seats to seniors; drivers do not intervene.
If these RTD improvements continue, why shouldn’t Patsaouras run for mayor? I’d like to hear his plans for our water supply, police controls, CRA goals, development for downtown and Hollywood and housing.
