Body of Woman Found in Ditch

The body of an unidentified woman was found lying in a drainage ditch near the Mexican border Wednesday, authorities said.
The U.S. Customs Service notified San Diego police shortly after 3 p.m. that a passer-by had found the body fully clothed.
The woman was lying on her back in a ditch about 600 feet north of the Otay Mesa border crossing. The ditch, on the west wide of the entry, parallels Interstate 905.
She was described as possibly Latina, 15 to 25 years old, with long, dark brown hair. She was dressed in a black skirt, blouse and jacket. The cause of her death is unknown and San Diego police are investigating.
