Esther Canseco, wife of Oakland A’s star Jose Canseco, has filed a motion to dismiss her husband’s petition for dissolution of marriage, her attorney, Luis E. Delgado, announced in Miami. The motion is to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction.
“Jose Canseco would stand to benefit greatly if the divorce proceedings were held in Florida,” said Delgado. “Our position, though, is that neither Mr. or Mrs. Canseco have been residents of the State of Florida since April, 1988.”
The Canseco’s own two vacation homes in Coral Gables, Fla.
