El Segundo Tournament Starts Monday

The El Segundo High/Kiwanis boys’ basketball tournament, featuring nine South Bay teams, will begin Monday with four games.

Top local entries include defending champion Bishop Montgomery, Leuzinger, Hawthorne, South Torrance and Mira Costa. In the most attractive first-round matchup, Bishop Montgomery will meet Hawthorne at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The tournament continues through the week, with the championship final at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
