Glusac Advances to Kinney Finals

Fallbrook High sophomore Milena Glusac placed third at the Kinney Cross Country Championships Western Regional Saturday at Woodward Park in Fresno. The top eight finishers qualified for the Kinney Nationals, which will be Saturday at Morley Field. Deena Drossin of Agoura won with a time of 17:07.78, tying the 5,000-meter course record. Jeannie Rothman of Westlake placed second in 17:16. Glusac’s time was 17:25, 30 seconds faster than her previous best.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
UCSD defeated The Master’s College, 79-72, in the championship game of the Redlands Tournament. UCSD’s Tim Rapp was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
