Beverly Hills : Jail Views to Be Blocked

The City Council recently approved a $22,000 contract to mount louvers over the jail cell windows of the new police headquarters to block prisoners from viewing nearby residences along Santa Monica Boulevard.
The action, taken after some residents complained to police, will still allow jail occupants to get adequate amounts of light through the window, in accordance with state law, city staffers said.
