SALT LAKE CITY — Mormon Church President Ezra Taft Benson remained in serious but stable condition Saturday as the church’s faithful met for their 160th semiannual General Conference.
An LDS Hospital nursing supervisor said the condition of the leader of the 7.5-million-member Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was unchanged.
Benson underwent surgery last month to remove blood clots from his brain and again last week for gastrointestinal bleeding.
