Angel right-hander Kirk McCaskill underwent surgery on his right elbow at Centinela Hospital Medical Center.
The surgery was performed by Lewis Yocum, the team’s orthopedic physician. Yocum removed some cartilage and trimmed spurring in the elbow.
McCaskill was 12-11 with two complete games and one shutout in 29 starts this season.
