UCLA had to settle for a field goal against Washington State Saturday night in the third quarter after driving to the one-yard line.
The Bruins were assessed a 15-yard penalty for having 12 men on the field.
“It was a good call,” Coach Terry Donahue said. “It was a game-administration mistake and it shouldn’t happen. It could have cost us the game.”
Instead of scoring a touchdown, UCLA trailed, 20-13. But the Bruins went on to score 17 points in the fourth quarter.
