HUNTINGTON BEACH : $1-Million Check for New Pier Presented

Supervisor Harriett M. Wieder, on behalf of county government, presented a check for $1 million to the City Council on Monday night to help build a new municipal pier.
County government earlier had earmarked the money in its current budget.
“It’s your tax dollars being returned,” Wieder told an overflow audience.
