CSX Corp.: The Richmond, Va.-based shipping and transportation company reported third-quarter profit of $101 million, up 7% from the third quarter last year, which included $34 million from the sale of RockResorts Inc. Revenue for this quarter was $2.1 billion, up 9% from the same period last year. The encouraging quarter reflected gains in the company’s railroad, barge and container-shipping operations.
