Possible Takeover of Tonka Announced: Malcolm I. Glazer said he holds an 8.6% stake in Tonka Corp. and may seek control of the Minnesota-based toy maker. In an SEC filing, Glazer said he and his six children have acquired about 1.25 million shares of Tonka common stock valued at $4.4 million. In its filing, the Glazer group said it had “no definitive plans at this time” but “may seek to acquire a controlling interest” in Minnetonka, Minn.-based Tonka.
