Servite 23, Alemany 15--Alemany running back Terry Barnum, who gained 200 yards last week, was held to 29 yards in 15 carries as Alemany fell. The Indians didn’t get untracked until four minutes were left when quarterback Adam Romandi threw a two-yard touchdown pass to Tom Engler to cap a 65-yard drive. Previously, Alemany (1-1) had been limited to just two first downs.
Wrangell Melendres scored the Indians’ other touchdown when he returned an interception 39 yards in the first quarter to give Alemany a 7-0 lead. Servite (2-1) then scored 23 unanswered points.
Servite outgained Alemany, 323-128. Romandi completed eight of 13 for 109 yards. He threw two interceptions.
