RIVERDALE, Ill. — Police Friday arrested a 28-year-old man after the decomposed bodies of two small children, believed killed in 1986, were found in a steamer trunk.
The bodies of Luther Magee, 2, and Jessica Wilkins, 1, were found by police who searched the residence Thursday night after the children’s mother told police that she believed the children were beaten to death nearly four years ago by their father.
Sgt. Richard Kobel could not confirm whether the man in custody was the children’s father.
