DEMOCRATS: Still, local Democrats are lining up what star power they have. Their three-day biennial convention next month will be headlined by former Gov. Edmund G. Brown Jr. and gubernatorial candidate Dianne Feinstein. . . . The local party has been sidetracked by an internal rift. Coordinators say the warring factions are now cooperating. “We consider (the convention) to be an opportunity to show that we can work together,” says Howard Adler, a party leader.
