Sheik Fahad Al-Ahmad, president of Kuwait’s Olympic Committee and a member of the International Olympic Committee, was killed during Iraq’s invasion of his country, officials have confirmed.

“The version we have is that the prince died fighting in the Royal Palace (in Kuwait) during the Iraqi troop invasion (earlier this month),” said Osvaldo Luis Gil Bosch, president of the Puerto Rico Olympic Committee.
