KENNEBUNKPORT, Me. — Nancy Walker, an elderly aunt of President Bush, suffered a “minor fainting episode” at the family’s Walker’s Point compound today that brought ambulances and reporters rushing.
“However, the ambulances were not needed and soon returned to their stations,” White House spokesman Marlin Fitzwater said. He said the President’s aunt “had a minor fainting episode and has fully recovered.”
She is the older sister of Bush’s 89-year-old mother, Dorothy Walker Bush. Their 81-year-old brother, Dr. John Walker, died last Thursday of an aneurysm at a nearby hospital after being stricken at Walker’s Point.
