WHAT SHOWS WOULD YOU CANCEL?

Tracey Ullman, the star of one of the lowest-rated shows on television, Fox’s “The Tracey Ullman Show,” opted to cancel herself, so her show (scenes from its skits above) won’t be returning this season. Suppose you had such authority and could cancel any show on television. We would like you to name not one but three--and tell us why you would pull them off the air. Send responses to Tell TV Times, TV Times, Times Mirror Square, Los Angeles, Calif. 90053. Or fax them to (213) 237-7630. Letters must be signed with full name and address.
Here is a response to the July 22 question: If you ran a network, what kinds of shows would you put on the air?
I would do a show about the lives of famous inventors, writers, etc. The shows would be one-hour long and in story form. They also would highlight the lives of people such as botanist George Washington Carver, who gave a lot to society though the public may know little about him today.
