Carr writes about “the Mother Road running through Illinois and Missouri and Arkansas into Oklahoma. . . .”
If the author of this book travelled Route 66 through Arkansas, how do we know that his opus is not flawed in other respects? The old Route 66 went west from Joplin, Mo., into Kansas, and nowhere near Arkansas.
