Evander Holyfield’s promoter charged hotel operator Steve Wynn with trying to delay the heavyweight title bout between Holyfield and Buster Douglas so Douglas would have a better chance of winning.
Dan Duva made the accusation the same day he asked a judge in New Jersey to order Wynn’s Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas to keep its original Sept. 21 date for the championship fight, rather than delay it until Oct. 25.
