Eastern Names Possible Suitors: The airline said it has been approached by Pan Am Corp. and Northwest Airlines about possible “future business relationships.” A unit of Continental Airlines Holdings Inc., Eastern has been in Chapter 11 for more than a year, and trustee Martin A. Shugrue has insisted that he is intent on keeping it independent. But a source close to the bankruptcy said some of Eastern’s unsecured creditors have pressed Shugrue to pursue other options.
