Perry in Alcohol Center

DENVER — Denver Broncos offensive tackle Gerald Perry has checked into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Arizona following his latest run-in with the law, a Denver newspaper reported today.
A Broncos staff member escorted Perry to the undisclosed center, where he will undergo treatment for alcoholism for 30 days, sources told the Rocky Mountain News.
The decision to place Perry in the in-patient care program apparently was prompted by an incident last Friday in which the 6-foot-6, 305-pound Perry is accused of assaulting a man in an east Denver bar. Patrick Powell, who is 5-6, 130-pounds, said Perry punched him in the face after he accidentally bumped into the lineman.
Denver police said they have been unable to contact Perry to discuss the matter, and so far no charges have been filed in the case.
