BASEBALL CARDS : Wheeling and Dealing Is Name of the Game

Baseball card enthusiasts have a choice of two shows to attend Sunday.
The monthly Ventura Baseball Card Show will feature cards from more than 35 dealers. The exhibition will be held from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Ventura Beach Resort, 450 E. Harbor Blvd., Ventura.
“We expect over 800 people to stop by. There’s thousands upon thousands of cards available--from the early ‘50s all the way through to current issues,” said Gary Wilmott, owner of the Baseball Card Connection.
Admission is free. Door prizes will be awarded. For information, call 644-7708.
THE OTHER LINEUP
M. T. Promotions will present a card show at the Financial Plaza Hilton, 600 Esplanade Drive, Oxnard. Fifty-five dealers will be on hand for the 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. show. Former ace relief pitcher Rollie Fingers will be on hand from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. to sign autographs at $5; and former Los Angeles Dodger Willie Davis will give autographs from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at $3.
An auction from 4 to 5 p.m. will feature selected cards and memorabilia.
