Oklahoma has become the third team from the Big Eight Conference to hold the No. 1 spot in the Associated Press college basketball poll this season.
The Sooners (23-4) jumped to the top from fifth place after beating the other Big Eight teams that had been No. 1 this season--Missouri and Kansas--in three days.
Nevada Las Vegas (26-5) dropped from second to third after losing at UC Santa Barbara, 78-70.
