Larry Cox, bullpen coach for the past two years for the Chicago Cubs, died while playing racquetball in Bellefontaine, Ohio. He was 42.
Cox, a native of nearby Lima, spent 17 years as a player in the minor and major leagues and five years as a manager in the Cubs’ organization.
