In other second-round games:
Alemany 51, Newbury Park 44--Alemany needed seven free throws in the final three minutes to overcome upstart Newbury Park (9-16) in a 3-AA game at Alemany.
Alemany (19-6) trailed, 39-37, after three quarters but outscored Newbury Park, 14-5, in the fourth quarter.
Qina Shigematsu, who scored 11 points, made a free throw with three minutes to play to give Alemany a 45-44 lead. Alemany made 12 of 16 free throws in the fourth quarter.
Sarah Guziel scored 10 points and had 14 rebounds. Rachel Corelli scored 10 points.
Notre Dame 46, South Pasadena 37--Junior center Julie Nelson scored a season-high 18 points and pulled down 14 rebounds for host Notre Dame (11-10) in a 3-A game.
St. Bonaventure 53, Bell-Jeff 45--Guard Susanne Carey scored 20 points and had 19 rebounds to lead St. Bonaventure (18-3) to a 2-A victory at home.
Sandy Vasquez added 16 points for St. Bonaventure. Julie Cusumano scored 14 points to lead Bell-Jeff (15-11).
Paraclete 68, Village Christian 51--Junior forward Jana Kovar scored a season-high 30 points and had 20 rebounds in a losing effort for Village Christian in the 2-A game at Village Christian.
Holy Martyrs 38, La Sierra Academy 26--Guard Sandra Ohanessian scored 25 points and center Linda Santourian added five points and 10 rebounds for Holy Martyrs (20-1) in a 1-A game at Holy Martyrs.
La Canada 68, Duarte 25--Senior forward Yolanda Davidian scored 17 points and senior guard Leslie White scored 11 for La Canada (18-7) in a second-round 3-A game at home.
Valley Christian 49, L.A. Baptist 33--Kristin Heerema scored a team-high 10 points for L.A. Baptist (14-5) at Valley Christian.
Lori Klein scored a game-high 17 points for the winners (20-4).
