NEW YORK — Legal papers filed by a New York bank claim former baseball commissioner Bowie Kuhn is hiding from debts of a bankrupt law firm that bore his name.
Myerson & Kuhn filed for bankruptcy in December. The New York Times reported today that Kuhn was believed to be hiding in Florida.
Kuhn’s lawyer, Richard J. Connor, was quoted as confirming Kuhn was in Florida.
Court papers filed Tuesday say Kuhn is liable for $3.1 million in loans.
The bank charged that Kuhn was attempting to place property out of the bank’s reach in Marsh Landing, Fla.
