In the Angelus League:
Mater Dei 60, St. Paul 34--Joan Maurer had 12 points, Melissa McDonald had 10 points and Zsuzsi Burkhalkter had 10 points and nine rebounds to lead host Mater Dei (9-13, 6-3). Marrianne Chavez had 18 points for St. Paul (3-19, 0-9).
St. Joseph’s 44, Rosary 36--Diane Wiskus had 19 points and 13 rebounds for host Rosary (11-8, 3-6).
In the Empire League:
Loara 49, Cypress 37--Jennifer Leonard and Tracey Berven each had 14 points to lead host Loara (12-11, 5-4). Traci Titus had 11 points, 21 rebounds and nine steals for Loara.
Katella 57, El Dorado 44--Debbie Vance had 11 points for visiting Katella (9-12, 5-4). El Dorado (7-12, 2-7) was led by Briana Yoshina’s 13 points.
Esperanza 64, Los Alamitos 40--Jennifer Harney had 19 points, including three three pointers, to lead host Esperanza (17-4, 8-1). Allison Arredondo had 19 points for Los Alamitos (0-9).
In the Freeway League:
Fullerton 63, Sonora 38--Lynn Gilbert scored 16 and Jenny Comstock had 15 for visiting Fullerton (16-5, 8-1), which led, 33-12, at the half.
In the Olympic League:
Orange Lutheran 52, Capistrano Valley Christian 36--Becky Pearson had 18 points and nine rebounds, Kara Stephens had 11 points and seven rebounds to lead host Orange Lutheran (5-14, 4-9). Carrie Shannon had 11 points for Capistrano Valley Christian (9-11, 5-8).
Santa Margarita 45, Whitney 15--Kristen Milligan had 19 points, Jenna Ricker had 14 rebounds for Santa Margarita (16-6, 11-2) at Gahr High School. Whitney only score four points in the second half.
In the Orange League
Magnolia 54, Western 45--Yolanda Hearvey had 20 points, 17 rebounds and five assists to lead host Magnolia (4-15, 2-7). Thuy Tran scored 25 points for Western.
Valencia 58, Savanna 50--Cathryn Sweet had 18 points and Sig Lo had 13 for visiting Valencia (15-9, 8-1). Carrie Frederick scored 18 points for Savanna (5-4 in league) before fouling out in the fourth quarter.
In the Pacific Coast League:
Orange 53, Costa Mesa 43--Ginnie Hall had 13 points and Nicole Champion had 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead visiting Orange (15-6, 8-2), which clinched second place. Rachel Ward had 13 points for Costa Mesa (10-11, 5-4).
Woodbridge 57, Laguna Hills 45--Woodbridge (20-4, 9-0) clinched the league title at home as Leslie Rathbun had 18 points and Deanna Harry had 13 points and 19 rebounds.
In the Sea View League:
University 56, Corona del Mar 31--Denise Gandara scored 25 points as host University (17-5, 7-2) clinched second place.
Tustin 72, Estancia 64--Shari Needham had 17 points, nine in the fourth quarter, and Christine Garner had 16 points and 18 rebounds for host Tustin (20-5, 9-0), which clinched the league title. Melodie Earle had 25 points, 13 in the last quarter, for Estancia 10-12, 4-5).
Saddleback 41, Newport Harbor 38--Nikkanni Andrews had 12 points and Janet Chacon had 10 points for host Saddleback (9-12, 4-5). Stacey Giem had 16 points for Newport Harbor, which fell to 2-7 in league.
In the South Coast League:
Capistrano Valley 40, Dana Hills 36--Alisa Far had 11 points and Bridget Baker had 10 for host Capistrano Valley (16-8, 7-2). Lizette Zamora had 14 points for Dana Hills (12-11, 2-7).
Mission Viejo 64, Irvine 25--Jennifer Rohrig scored 18 points and Mary Andrew had 14 points to lead visiting Mission Viejo (16-9, 6-3). Judy Gettys had 13 to lead Irvine (0-18, 0-9).
El Toro 47, San Clemente 37--Karie Yoshioka had 11 points, seven assists and six rebounds to lead El Toro (21-5, 8-1).
