Gregg Lukenbill, the managing general partner of the Sacramento Kings of the NBA, was among “a number of people” who have been subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury investigating whether he made an illegal campaign contribution aimed at defeating a downtown baseball stadium in San Francisco, according to a report.
The investigation centers on whether Lukenbill, who is also seeking a major league baseball franchise and a pro football team for Sacramento, secretly funneled a $12,500 contribution to an anti-stadium campaign.
