McDonnell Douglas has named Gene Siddall president of its Toronto-based McDonnell Douglas Canada subsidiary. Les Gordon has been named the unit’s executive vice president. Siddall replaces Garret G. Ackerson, who was appointed chairman of McDonnell Douglas Canada for the duration of the management transition. The subsidiary builds about 25% of the airframe for the MD-80 airliner and makes components for the MD-11 tri-jet and the F/A-18 Hornet. Siddall has been vice president and general manager of McDonnell Douglas’ Tulsa, Okla., facilities. Gordon was most recently vice president-operations for McDonnell Douglas Canada.
