L.A. Law Firm Merged: The 80-lawyer firm of McCutchen, Black, Verleger & Shea, which has practiced in Los Angeles since 1929, has merged with Baker & Hostetler, a Cleveland firm with 410 lawyers in five offices. For an unspecified transition period, the firm will be known as Baker & Hostetler, McCutchen, Black in Los Angeles, Long Beach and Houston, the sites of the three McCutchen, Black offices. Elsewhere, the company will continue to be called Baker & Hostetler. The value of the merger was not revealed.
