Sand Castle Exhibit in Arcadia

A sand-castle exhibit at Santa Anita Fashion Park in Arcadia features replicas of European castles, including King Ludwig’s in Bavaria, the inspiration for the Disneyland castle. Other structures in the exhibit, carved by Todd Vander Pluym and Sand Sculptors International, depict Big Ben, St. Peter’s Cathedral, Heidelberg Castle and Mont-Saint-Michel. The 32x48-foot sculpture will be on exhibit through February. Viewing hours this weekend are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. New Year’s Day. The mall is at 400 S. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia.
