At the end of California’s education summit today, each of seven study groups will present its recommendations for improving public schools. The ideas will be forwarded to the Governors’ Task Force on Education when it reconvenes in February to formulate specific national goals and strategies for achieving them, as called for by President Bush and the governors last September.
