SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : Clubs, City, School Join Forces for Party
- Share via
Two service organizations, the city and an elementary school have joined forces for the first time this year to provide $1,500 worth of gifts for 300 needy pupils.
Children ages 5 through 8 and their families have been invited to a party Dec. 18 at San Juan Elementary School, and each pupil attending will receive a gift.
The local Rotary and Kiwanis clubs, the city Community Services Department and the school are buying the items. The plan was the idea of school principal Michael Hoy, a Rotary Club member, who wanted to help the many children living in a low-income neighborhood near Mission San Juan Capistrano.
