HITSVILLE: With Christmas fast approaching, it’s time to catch up on the annual deluge of greatest hits collections. Here’s a few highlights: Nick Lowe’s “Best of the Basher,” which includes 26 pure-pop songs, from his hit “Cruel to be Kind” to old faves like “Heart of the City” and “I Knew the Bride When She Used to Rock and Roll.” . . . Eddie Money’s hits package, “Sound of Money,” features three new songs, including “Peace in Our Time” and “Stop Steppin’ on My Heart.”
