Audiotronics Corp., a North Hollywood company that makes audiovisual educational products, reported a loss of $194,000 in the fiscal first quarter that ended Sept. 30, compared to a $280,000 loss a year earlier. Sales rose 19% to $1.5 million from $1.2 million. The firm said it narrowed its loss in the latest quarter by cutting costs, but it still invested heavily in its new liquid crystal display video projector, which projects images from a videocassette recorder or television set onto a movie screen. It said shipments on the new projector would begin soon.
