Verdugo Hills 14, Lincoln 12--Fullback Eric Jenrich scored on a one-yard run and caught a screen pass for a 59-yard touchdown to lead the visiting Dons (2-4, 2-2). Lincoln (3-4, 1-3) had a chance to win late in the fourth quarter after flanker Emir Gonzalez caught a 31-yard pass from quarterback Ismael Gallegos to put the Tigers on Verdugo Hills’ one-yard line with 22 seconds remaining.

A motion penalty cost Lincoln five yards and on the next play, Gaspar Ortega’s 23-yard field-goal attempt hit the left upright.
