Keith Walker, a 6-foot-5 guard at Brea-Olinda High School, has made an oral commitment to attend Cal on a basketball scholarship next year.
Walker, a three-year starter, averaged 23 points a game and shot 52% from the field as a junior, leading Brea-Olinda to a 20-8 record and second place in the Orange League.
He plans to sign a national letter of intent with Cal on Nov. 8, the opening day of the early signing week.
Walker is the younger brother of UCLA senior center Kevin Walker. He is the second Southern California high school player to commit to Cal, joining Loyola’s 6-11 center, Ryan Jamison, who also committed this week.
