More than a dozen people suffered minor injuries Wednesday when a Southern California Rapid Transit District bus collided with a car in heavy San Fernando Valley traffic, authorities reported.
The accident occurred about 5 p.m. on Ventura Boulevard in the Sherman Oaks area when the bus rear-ended a car stopped in traffic, said Officer Dennis Smith of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division.
“Thirteen to 14 people were on the bus. They just complained of minor injuries,” Smith said. He added that most of the riders complained of pain and it did not appear likely that anyone would be hospitalized.
It was not immediately known if the driver of the car was hurt, Smith said.
