The Times Orange County Edition has changed some aspects of its format and is increasing its Orange County news report. The changes are aimed at presenting a better organized newspaper, and adding more local news in Orange County.
* Orange County readers will see a new, front-page Orange County Newswatch on weekdays. It is a newsletter that outlines what people in the county are talking about and how news and trends from around the world and around the county affect readers. Also:
* Orange County news appears on the front page and throughout all sections of the paper.
* Orange County developments throughout the paper are spotlighted in a Highlights column on the front of each section.
* An Orange County column by Dianne Klein on appears on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
In addition, there are these differences:
* Highlights, on the front page of each daily section except the A section, summarizes what is in the section.
* The Top of Today’s News on A2 briefly spotlights important news throughout the paper.
The Times invites readers to call (800) 678-0105 between 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Or write: “Format Changes,” Times Orange County Edition, 1375 Sunflower Avenue, Costa Mesa, Calif. 92626.
