Gordie Howe, who retired in 1980 as hockey’s all-time scoring leader after a 26-year career, says he will return to the ice in 1990 to add another record to his achievements--playing in six decades.
Howe, 61, who had 1,850 points in his career, said he plans to rejoin the Hartford Whalers after the first of the year for one game.
Howe played for Detroit from 1946-71 and for Hartford in 1980.
