Film-Making Already Limited

The Rolling Hills City Council has shelved a proposed ordinance to restrict motion picture filming in the city after City Atty. Michael Jenkins found that restrictions covering such activity are already in place.
The private, gated community has long banned commercial activity, City Manager Terrence Belanger told the council Monday, adding that codes broadly restricting commercial endeavors could be applied to motion picture-making.
The proposed ordinance was considered in the wake of complaints from residents that the filming in July of a television movie in a vacant house had created traffic and noise problems.
