Get ready for . . . the Freddy doll. Matchbox Toys has come up with a new 17-inch-tall, bendable doll based on the Freddy Krueger character from the “Nightmare on Elm Street” movies. Pull a string and Freddy spouts ghoulish phrases such as “Pleasant dreams,” “Watch out, Freddy’s back” or the character’s trademark diabolical laugh. The doll, to cost about $25, will conveniently hit the stores in time for Halloween sales.
