NBC’s “comedy” debut, “Saved by the Bell,” was a lame excuse for a new Saturday morning sitcom. We are 16-year-old high school students and nowhere in high school do situations like the type shown in that episode actually happen. The phony-looking cast reminded us of a junior high school skit more than a high school situation comedy. The cast of characters was bad enough, but the situations they were in were ridiculously unrealistic. We feel “Saved by the Bell” is just a bad remake of “Silver Spoons.” Please save Saturday morning TV viewers from the agony of watching such a mockery of high school life.
