Gas Blast Disrupts Rail Service, Routs 10,000

NEW CASSEL, N.Y. — A fire and propane gas explosion Tuesday injured two people, disrupted train service and forced the evacuation of 10,000 people on Long Island, police said.
The fire at All Borough Gas Co., which fills propane gas tanks, set off explosions in several small tanks, an officer said. The fire and evacuation also disrupted Long Island Rail Road service.
